IU Hoosiers in the News: Opera star Ailyn Pérez

Over the weekend, South Beach Hoosier happened to come across this really great story about an IU grad who took advantage of her enormous natural talent and and is now a rising star in the world of opera, soprano Ailyn Pérez.

Ailyn may be coming to a city near you!
Hoosiers in St. Louis, Boston, Detroit and Philadelphia, this means you!
"Her future engagements include Violetta in La traviata and the four heroines in The Tales of Hoffman with Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro with both Boston Lyric Opera and Michigan Opera Theater, Marzelline in Fidelio with Opera Company of Philadelphia and Marguerite in Faust with the Teatro Municipal in Santiago and Opera Carolina."

See Ailyn's impressive background, awards and check her future engagements on the webpage maintained on her management company's website, Neil Funkhouser Artist Management
http://www.funkhouserartists.com/AilynPerez/, which also includes photos of her past engagements, including one with Placido Domingo, and her fiance, Stephen Costello, a tenor -who's also a rising star- repped by Neil Funkhauser, http://www.funkhouserartists.com/StephenCostello/
