Is TODAY a holiday in Aventura? Just wondering

A slightly expanded version of a letter South Beach Hoosier sent earlier this afternoon after noticing something odd along Biscayne Blvd. and trying to just do his civic duty during a water crisis.
And it's all true.
It speaks volumes!

Clearly the City of Aventura, see below, is not really up to earning their money today! First nobody was around and now...

Folks at WASD, please send confirmation of receipt of this email and keep this Aventura response in mind next time you have a problem up there.

3:25 p.m.

Not knowing whether it was a City of Aventura or Miami-Dade County responsibility when I first saw it, I placed a call at 3 p.m. to the City of Aventura (first the City Manager's office, then the Mayor's office) and was unable to get a human being until I called the city council's phone
number.
There, I got directed to leave a message for someone, and there's no telling how long it'll be before they check their messages.

The water is coming out from under the sidewalk fairly fast -albeit not a gusher- and there is a lot of flooding in the swale on the corner, so it's probably been leaking like that for many hours.
